The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual 
to join our team as a Project Specialist II, K-12 Curriculum and Instruction. This position offers 
a rewarding opportunity to lead professional development initiatives and ensure educational 
compliance while supporting the academic success of students throughout Sacramento County.

SCOE is one of 58 county offices of education in California, providing technical assistance, 
curriculum and instructional support, staff development, financial advice, and oversight to 
Sacramento County school districts.

Salary and Benefits
Annual salary: $133, 302.08
Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, life, vision, with TSA options available
Benefit allowance: $1,023.58 per month for single coverage, $1,698.58 for two-party coverage, or
$1898.58 for family coverage

Job Summary
The Project Specialist II serves as the lead project manager for K-12 Curriculum and Instruction professional development training operations. In this role, you will plan, organize, coordinate, and manage professional development events, data projects, and program-wide activities while acting as a liaison to districts and schools. You will coordinate professional development training on a regional and state-wide basis, ensure compliance with Williams legislation requirements related to instructional materials and facilities, manage master calendars and online event management systems, oversee memorandums of understanding (MOUs), and coordinate Williams school reviews. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to directly impact educational quality throughout Sacramento County.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent with related experience in 
education-based programs; demonstrated experience in program development, implementation, and 
evaluation; experience coordinating large-scale events and training programs; proven success 
writing procedural reports and maintaining positive working relationships with administrators, 
teachers, and educational staff.

Knowledge: State Board of Education adopted curricula; Williams legislation and school review 
responsibilities; uniform complaint procedures; project management practices; professional 
development strategies; database and web development skills; evaluation procedures.

Key Abilities: Plan and monitor multi-day trainings and events; work cooperatively with diverse 
groups; organize and prioritize multiple projects; develop measurable goals, meet timelines, and 
evaluate progress; manage databases and social media; analyze data and create reports; communicate 
effectively in oral and written forms.
