Community Room Coordinator

Coordinates and schedules events in the Ose Community Room while serving as the first point of contact for staff, guests, and tenants. This role ensures a welcoming environment, seamless event logistics, and exceptional customer service. Essential Functions
- Coordinates and executes successful community room and kitchen rentals.
- Positively and warmly greets guests and tenants as they enter the lobby.
- Manages shipping and receiving operations, including equipment and membership premiums, coordinates equipment deliveries and returns, orders and tracks premium inventory, and processes, packs, mails, sorts, and enters membership and pledge items into inventory.
- Communicates with clients, manages set-up and break-down of community room events, and coordinates the community room calendar.
- Maintains the community room client database.
- Works with marketing to create and update marketing for the community room.
- Maintains the security of the building by vetting guests.
- Answers and forwards calls from a multi-line console.
- Accepts deliveries and faxes and distributes accordingly.
- Maintains a professional appearance of the lobby.
- Coordinates and schedules station tours.
- Manages inventory and orders office supplies as needed.
- Supports the Facilities team as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be mission-driven and passionate about the role of public media.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective and proactive communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively with diverse stakeholders as a team.
- Positively and professionally represents PBS KVIE throughout the community.
- Experience managing and organizing events.
- Provides high quality customer service.
- Working knowledge of mailing equipment preferred.
Education / Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of one year of professional experience coordinating events.
Special Conditions
- Available to work evenings and weekends as needed.
