Starting Range: $73,000 - $80,000

Schedule: A flexible schedule may be available based on role and department’s needs after 90 days of training.

Supervises the Marketing team by providing leadership and support while overseeing strategic marketing initiatives. Coordinates marketing plans, manages projects and priorities, and collaborates across the organization to strengthen brand awareness and achieve organizational goals. Essential Functions

  • Oversees the marketing team by offering support, training, and guidance.
  • Coordinates marketing workflow and priorities.
  • Develops and executes integrated marketing campaigns that support organizational priorities.
  • Develops campaign plans, messaging, audience segmentation, channel strategies, and success metrics in collaboration with the Director of Marketing & Membership.
  • Supports the Marketing Coordinators’ efforts with social media marketing, the monthly print magazine, on-air promotion, and more.
  • Leads the development of on-air and streaming promotions by identifying opportunities, writing scripts, coordinating production, and ensuring timely delivery of assets.
  • Serves as primary editor and oversees the creation of written, visual, and video marketing content and promotional assets, ensuring consistency with the PBS KVIE brand.
  • Oversees the creation of various email newsletters; assists other departments with email marketing needs.
  • Serves as a liaison between programming and the station by fielding questions, coordinating schedules, and reviewing episode descriptions.
  • Delegates national marketing material provided by PBS and other member stations to create promotions relevant to the local audience.
  • Stays current on marketing trends, audience behaviors, and emerging technologies to recommend new approaches and best practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be mission-driven and passionate about the role of public media.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other technology tools relevant to the position.
  • Demonstrates clear, effective, and proactive communication.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and manage time and projects effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with diverse stakeholders as part of a team.
  • Positively and professionally represents PBS KVIE throughout the community.
  • Leverages AI and technology tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness while maintaining independent judgment and responsibility for the accuracy, originality, integrity, confidentiality, and quality of all work product, in compliance with organizational policies, journalistic ethics, and professional standards.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills and a commitment to fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing work environment.
  • Provides exceptional customer service and support to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent writer with strong proofreading skills, including knowledge of AP Style.
  • Understands marketing and branding concepts.
  • Familiarity with project management programs such as Asana, Wrike, or others.
  • Strong working knowledge of Photoshop, Canva, and/or other design programs.

Education / Experience

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in a marketing/communications role.
  • Experience managing integrated marketing campaigns.
