Lead Maintenance Worker
The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) is seeking a skilled maintenance professional to join our team!
The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) is one of 58 county offices of education in California. SCOE staff work year-round providing services that complement and supplement those offered by public school districts in Sacramento County. SCOE provides technical assistance, curriculum and instructional support, staff development, financial advice, and oversight to Sacramento County school districts.
Job Summary
In this hands-on lead role, you’ll help maintain safe, functional, and welcoming facilities by performing a variety of building repairs, troubleshooting maintenance issues, maintaining grounds, and coordinating work projects. You’ll also help prioritize tasks, support fellow maintenance staff, and ensure our facilities remain in excellent condition.
Salary and Benefits
Starting salary is $29.98 per hour with 5 annual incremental increases to $38.33 per hour, plus benefits.
This position includes a benefit allowance of $1,169.58 per month for single health coverage, $1,844.58 for 2-party or $2,044.58 for family coverage, which includes medical, dental, life, vision, and TSA options.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will possess:
- Progressively responsible, journey-level experience in building maintenance, repair, and/or the building trades.
- Working knowledge of multiple trades, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and grounds maintenance.
- The ability to troubleshoot problems, prioritize work, and coordinate multiple projects.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork.
