RCC Power Lunch: ImprovEQ Diversity Training
This dynamic and interactive two part session uses the principles of improv to explore diversity and inclusion in the workplace with a focus on belonging, the feeling we have when we are welcomed, accepted, and valued for who we are. Diversity places value on differences within a group and inclusion invites everyone to the group. But a sense of belonging is what solidifies the relationships and culture of acceptance within a group or workplace.
Through a series of improv-based games we practice perspective-taking, effective communication, and self-awareness to shift our mindset toward a positive, collaborative, and accepting space where every individual feels they belong. ImprovEQ’s approach is entertaining and eye-opening and builds emotional intelligence (EQ) skills through improv in a safe environment for better performance in real-life situations.
Learning Objectives:
· Understand the value of belonging.
· Identify the strengths and challenges of diversity.
· Using EQ as a framework, explore bias and privilege.
· Build trust and support within teams.
